‘Point Break’ got a reboot, and the trailer didn’t wear a helmet

“Point Break” is no longer just about eco-terrorism and surfing. It's about eco-terrorism and surfing, motocross, base jumping, snowboarding, skydiving and all other manner of “extreme sports.”

The Ericson Core-helmed new reboot of the 25-year-old film — which was originally directed by Kathryn Bigelow — stars your new boyfriends Luke Bracey and Edgar Ramirez as Johnny Utah and Bodhi, respectively.

“These aren't normal people sir,” Bracey's character reports in this new 2-minute-plus trailer, the first look at the film. That's beautiful, Johnny.

The action-crime flick will be out Christmas Day, Dec. 25. The 1991 original starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.
