The “Live!” co-host is closing in on a deal to appear several times a week on “GMA” in early segments, before going off to do his regular gig with Kelly Ripa at 9 a.m. Strahan won't be replacing anybody, but his expected addition comes in the wake of Josh Elliott's departure.
