The trailer for “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation,” which hits theaters July 31, is filled with gritty fight scenes and one unbelievable airplane mishap. It is also filled with shots of Tom Cruise at his most “Ben Stiller in 'Heavyweights.'” Watch. Study.
Then watch this. I know Tom Cruise is a “Tropic Thunder” alum who knows he can seem a little delirious on camera. But when you're making a movie with as much delirium as “Mission: Impossible,” it's impossible not to connect the two actors.
