“We are all targets now” is the takeaway from the new “Transformers: Age of Extinction” trailer, featuring Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz and a Transformer with some serious teeth.
In this new promo, Tucci goes high tech with a mysterious metal as Wahlberg is seen literally picking up the pieces of an old era, a hunk of junk that is Optimus Prime. “An ancient, powerful new menace” has set it's sights on Earth and lurches toward our planet with a legion of giant spaceships.
“We need a new army.” Enter dinobots and Transformers attacking with glowing swords, Stanley Tucci losing his mind and loads of stuff flying through the air, just as Michael Bay fans have come to expect.
“Transformers: Age of Extinction” also stars Li Bingbing , Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, T. J. Miller, Jack Reynor and Titus Welliver. It heads to theaters on June 25 and marks the start of a new trilogy.
