No Doubt will tour for the first time in five years, according to the group’s website.

The tour, the first major summer tour announced so far, starts in May and will play amphitheaters and arenas. No dates have been released, nor have ticket prices.

Paramore will play the middle slot on the tour with the opening slot rotating between The Sounds, Janelle Monae and Bedouin Soundclash.

It doesn’t look like the long-rumored new No Doubt album will be ready by then…in fact, on the website, Gwen Stefani says as much: “The whole reason for going on this tour was to have fun, try on all our favorite songs again and to get inspired to make new music. It feels good to be all together again.”

But I bet they road-test a few new tunes during the tour. Besides, between No Doubt tunes and Stefani solo songs, they have plenty to draw from. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will play the U.S. and Canada.
