Olsen Twins could board Fuller House

Earlier this year, Netflix announced that it would bring the popular late '80s/early '90s sitcom “Full House” back to life in the newly (aptly) titled “Fuller House”.

John Stamos, who starred as “Uncle Jesse” Katsopolis is serving as executive producer on the series and will star along with original players Bob Saget as Danny Tanner, Candace Cameron-Bure as DJ Tanner, Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner, Andrea Barder as wacky neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, and Dave Coulier as uncle Joey – among others.

However, more than nearly any other character, fans have been anxious to hear if Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen — who as a pair played the precocious and adorable Michelle Tanner — may return.

At today's TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour Netflix chief content officer, Ted Sarandos said that the 29-year-old Olsen twins are in fact “teetering” on a decision to join.

The series is in production now, with first episode has already shot sans Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. However, Sarandos feels that there are plenty of “stunt opportunities” ahead.

Meanwhile, the Netflix head assures that the cast “have fallen right back into their roles” and that Fuller House is, “very much in the same spirit [of the original], but it”s a modern take on Full House.”

With the success of the “Boy Meets World” revival “Girl Meets World”, it'll be interesting to see how audiences respond to this nostalgia play.
