Pagani Huayra added to ‘Transformers 4’ car lineup

It has been nearly two weeks since the last time a new car was announced for “Transformers 4,” but the wait has been worth it. Today, Paramount announced that the ‘blood red’ 2013 Pagani Huayra will be seen in the upcoming Michael Bay film.
Fans of the British version of “Top Gear” will recall that the Pagani Huayra set a record-breaking lap time on the BBC series (BBC America here in the States). And, as much as the hosts of that show may have loved it, they didn’t even get to play with a version of the car that was a robot in disguise.
The Pagani Huayra joins a growing lineup of cars for “Transformers 4” which already includes the Lamborghini Aventador, 1967 Camaro, Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse, and Corvette Stingray. Clearly the car budget for the film isn’t small.
As with many of the other vehicles in the film, there is no word yet about which robot (if any) will be using the Huayra as its disguise. Traditionally, one would think it ought to be an Autobot, but perhaps the use of ‘blood red’ as a color is trying to tell us something.
“Transformers 4” is due out June 27, 2014
