Paul Walker brings the action one more time in ‘Brick Mansions’ trailer

Before his tragic death, “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker completed filming the upcoming Luc Besson-produced thriller “Brick Mansions,” and a new trailer shows that the star was at the top of his action game.

A detective (Walker) teams with a convict (parkour icon David Belle) to infiltrate the criminal underworld of the walled-off area of Detroit known as “Brick Mansions.” They’re searching for a nuclear bomb that’s been stolen by a drug kingpin (Wu-Tang producer-turned-director RZA).

If the plot sounds familiar, that’s because it’s a remake of Besson’s own 2004 French-language production “District 13,” which was essentially a showcase for Belle’s jaw-dropping free-running stunts.

The Paris-set “District 13” was a cartoonish blast, and “Mansions” looks like an extremely faithful re-working of the film, with all the wall-crawling, face-kicking and, yes, car crashing action of the original.

Helmed by editor-turned-director Camille Delamarre (“Transporter 3,” “Taken 3”), “Mansions” also stars Robert Maillet and Carlo Rota.

“Mansions” was the last film Walker completed before his death last November. His final performance will be seen in 2016’s “Fast and Furious 7.”

“Brick Mansions” opens April 25.
