Julia Louis-Dreyfus scored a 2015 Emmy Award Nomination this morning for Best Actress in a comedy series, for her role as President Selina Meyer in HBO's “Veep.” The show also is up for Best Comedy.
Louis-Dreyfus reacted in character to the show's varioius nominations, including her own. And Meyer is apparently a “Mad Men” fan.
In a statement: “As President, my staff and I are too busy doing the people's business to watch television. Nonetheless, we are thrilled to be a part of this celebration of creativity. (Go Jon Hamm!)”
Louis-Dreyfus has won five Emmys and has been nominated 18 times.
