The catchy love duet recalls the silly/sweet qualities of the “Prince” episode, in which the Purple One cheers up Jess (Deschanel) with a makeover, pancakes and relationship advice. Prince takes the vocal lead – kicking off the song purring the question, “Anybody wanna fall in love tonight” – amid funky rhythms, horns and Deschanel”s folky vocals coming in on the hook (she”s one half of the duo She & Him with M. Ward).
According to Dr. Funkenberry, the song was released via iHeartRadio by Epic Records, leading to speculation that Prince”s forthcoming “PLECTRUMELECTRUM” may come out on the label.
