Just weeks after canceling “Prison Break,” FOX has given a greenlight to a new pilot from creator Paul Scheuring.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama “Masterwork” is described as “a race against time to recover the world’s most sought-after artifacts.”
The pilot, compared to “National Treasure” and “The Da Vinci Code” would seem like a difficult-to-sustain highwire act, though critics said the same thing about “Prison Break,” which ran for four season of FOX.
The trade says that “Masterwork” will film at locations around the world, which sounds even harder to sustain.
“Masterwork” will join “Maggie Hill,” “Human Target” and “Eva Adams” on FOX’s drama pilot slate.
Earlier credits for Scheuring include the feature “A Man Apart.”
