The latest round of pilot casting sees roles going to Indira Varma, Gina Torres and David Giuntoli.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Varma has landed the lead role in ABC’s “Inside the Box,” from “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes.

Written by Richard E. Robbins, “Inside the Box” focuses on Varma’s Catherine, an ambitious producer at a Washington network news bureau. Catherine thinks she’s on the verge of a promotion, but when she doesn’t get it… Well, we assume she’s unhappy.

Varma’s credits include CBS’ “3 Lbs” and “Comanche Moon,” as well as a turn as Niobe in HBO’s “Rome.”

The trade says Torres will play a rapid-deployment team coordinator in CBS’ “Washington Field,” which focuses on an FBI squad that goes around the world protecting U.S. interests.

Torres is best known for her work on “Firefly” and “Angel.”

Finally, Giuntoli will play a wealthy young attorney in CBS’ untitled U.S. Attorney drama.

The busy actor has appeared on “Privileged,” “Eli Stone,” “The Unit,” “Without a Trace,” “Cold Case” and “Crash” all in the last year.
