When was the last time we saw an evil movie babysitter? I honestly can't recall. Has there ever been one?
It's a great premise: innocent-looking young woman shows up at a typical suburban home to watch the kids for the night, parents leave, innocent-looking young woman turns into the babysitter from hell. It's a nice subversion of the old “babysitter gets stalked by a masked killer” trope made famous by Halloween, and indeed, in the upcoming horror film Emelie, Sarah Bolger's title character is no victim.
