With “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” right around the corner, the time has come to start thinking about the next installment of other dystopian movies based on young adult novels. To that end, we have the first teaser trailer for “The Divergent Series: Insurgent” this morning.
As you might expect, there isn't a whole lot divulged about the film as this is a teaser trailer, but if the goal is to whet one's appetite, it certainly does that. The entire sequence looks absolutely outstanding and definitely gets one's heart pumping. As we say, it doesn't offer a huge insight into the storyline of the film, but it is an impressive sequence.
The movie follows up on the events of this year's “Divergent” and features the return of much of the cast including Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet. There are new faces as well in the film, including Octavia Spencer and Naomi Watts. There is also a new director this time out, Robert Schwentke (Neil Burger directed “Divergent”).
“The Divergent Series: Insurgent” will be in theaters on March 20, 2015.
