Showtime sets ‘Homeland’ Season 4 premiere, debuts first footage

At its Television Critics Association press tour panel on Friday (July 18), Showtime announced a Season 4 premiere date for the Emmy-winning drama and presented colorful key art and a new “first look” teaser.

“Homeland” will premiere on Sunday, October 5 at 9 p.m. 

As we established at the end of last season, Carrie was pregnant with the late Brody's baby, but she had also been promoted to a new post overseas. 

Shot in South Africa, the fourth season will find Carrie working at a CIA station in the Middle East, facing a new threat with the characters played by cast regulars Mandy Patinkin, Rupert Friend, Nazanin Boniadi and Laila Robins.

After winning Emmys for Danes, Damian Lewis and Outstanding Drama Series in 2012 and Emmys for Danes and writing in 2013, “Homeland” dropped to four nominations this spring, though Danes and Patinkin both received nods.
