‘SNL’s’ take on sexist Super Bowl ads is cutting and hysterical

You know the grinning, snack-serving wife in the background of all those Super Bowl commercials? She's dying a slow soul-death in that kitchen of hers.

“Totino's Super Bowl Activity Pack for Women” was one of the strongest sketches on tonight's “SNL” – a smart, cutting satire of dated male-driven ads in which Vanessa Bayer expertly conveys the sad desperation of a woman doomed to wear a sensible pink sweater for all eternity. “Anything for my hungry guys!” she endlessly chirps. Great stuff.
