Tom Kenny’s self-actualization about ‘Spongebob’ and ‘Adventure Time’ before your very eyes

SAN DIEGO – Come on, kids, check out what Tom Kenny has to say about self-actualization.

The famed voice actor behind “Spongebob Squarepants” — and “The Powerpuff Girls,” “CatDog,” “Transformers: Animated,” “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “The Boondocks,” “Futurama,” “Winnie the Pooh” and on and on — was on hand at San Diego Comic-Con, talking characters and talking like his characters.

As the new sequel “The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water” comes down the pipeline, Kenny has been reflecting on his favorite roles. His longtime yellow underwater pal has “huge positivity and being comfortable with who he is.”

His other favorite? The Ice King, on Cartoon Network's “Adventure Time,” who's clouded by “self-loathing… I've never thought about that!”

Maybe Kenny should take on Jekyll and Hyde next.
