Apparently, Rey And Kylo Ren Can Fight Praetorian Guards In ‘The Last Jedi’ To Just About Any Song

Spoilers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi below!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi has (somewhat) moved beyond large swathes of fans arguing over whether the movie destroyed their childhood hero, and has successfully shifted into being a highly sought after meme commodity ever since Kylo Ren’s wide body inspired the #KyloRenChallenge.

Now The Last Jedi memes have taken an unexpected and delightful turn of events. Twitter user @rachlikesbands has dubbed over the music in Rey and Kylo Ren’s brief alliance in fighting off the Praetorian Guards with dozens of pop songs from history. Strangely, just about all of them work. It’s unknown whether she got super lucky with the majority of her picks, or this took hours of intense editing skills to get the edits just right. Maybe both?

Here are some of the best alternative soundtracks, in no particular order, with “Footloose,” “Africa” by Toto, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” and my personal favorite, “Kung Fu Fighting.”

If you like what you saw/heard, give @rachlikesbands a follow because she’s cranking out these mashups. Some work disturbingly well, others are just okay. All are absolutely necessary in furthering the memeification of The Last Jedi.

And while memes and RTs can’t be turned into dollars, she used the popularity of her tweets to start a GoFundMe to help with her cousin’s medical bills, raising over $2,000 in just a few days.
