Dale Irby is a gym teacher from Dallas. His normal work attire consists of athletic wear in various colors and fabrics, but on his first-ever Picture Day 40 years ago, Dale decided to put on something special: a tan vest over a white button-down. The next year, he accidentally wore the exact same outfit to get his mug snapped. He was initially quite embarrassed about the mistake — until he realized he had a recipe that would make him one of the coolest teachers of all time.
Every Picture Day for the next 39 years, Dale Irby wore that same tan vest and white button-down. And this year, he got to retire a living legend.
