We sort of love the Predator around these parts…Okay, I love the Predator. Because though he is in many ways an a**hole who went on a safari on a planet with a species that didn't have the technology to properly fight him back (not unlike the numbnuts who shoot at animals from helicopters while “hunting”), he's also one of our most iconic monsters.
The design is both terrifying and enthralling. It's left an indelible mark on pop culture, and many of us with questions about the character and his (or is it her?) origins. Director Shane Black is busy working on the latest entry in the franchise, The Predator, which is meant to be a one part noir, one part Close Encounters event film that brings the mystery back to the character.
I know, we can't wait to see how all of that works, either.
