The first trailer for 'Star Trek Beyond' just dropped (a little early, thanks to the German language version being leaked), and it looks like Kirk and Co. will spend the third movie rocking around space on their five-year mission until, as it is wont to do, the Enterprise blows up.
There will be aliens and a lot of jumping around and a few one-liners. And I think I heard Idris Elba's voice and saw maybe a quick glimpse of his character? It's certainly got a different feel from the J.J. Abrams-directed films. “Star Trek Beyond” is due out July 22, 2016, so we'll be waiting a while yet to see if that's a good thing … or not.
