Time Warped: Brooklyn man sets TV binge-watching record

In the immortal words of Larry Sanders, “No flipping.”

A 25-year-old Brooklyn man with too much time on his hands set the world record for TV binge viewing on Tuesday.

Alejandro “AJ” Fragoso watched TV for 94 straight hours, breaking the previous record of 92 hours set just last month, this according to Variety. During his time in front of the tube, Fragoso watched Game of Thrones, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Twilight Zone and even the animated series Adventure Time.

While crashing on the couch and zoning out in front of the TV for nearly four days might sound easy, Fragoso said that”s just not so. He told the publication, “I learned that binge-watching TV for abnormally long durations can actually be quite physically taxing.”

As for those health-related issues, Fragoso apparently suffered from an elevated heart rate and acute hallucinations after his marathon effort concluded.

The viewing party, held in a Manhattan apartment, actually began with three people competing for the crown. But after 94 hours, only one person, Fragoso, could earn the title of King Couch Potato and a new Guinness World Record.
