Tobey Maguire revealed this weekend that “Spider-Man 4” will begin lensing in February or March next year, for its slated May 2011 release.

At a press conference for his newest movie “Brothers,” Maguire responded a mere “yes” when asked if audiences will be seeing a new side to Peter Parker in the third sequel of the comic book flick.

The 34-year-old actor sat feet away from Jake Gyllenhaal, his “Brothers” co-star and the actor who was almost cast as the masked superhero in his place for the first two films.

The resemblence of the two in the film as they star as siblings is apparent, on camera and in life, to which Gyllenhaal had comment. “People have very often said to me that I look like Tobey, so I thought it was a very perfect casting thing that [‘Brothers’ director Jim Sheridan] put us together… So we really just made the movie so that I could say that I look a little different than Tobey,” Gyllenhaal laughs. “And to all those cab drivers in New York, I”m not Spider-Man.”

“Brothers” is out Dec. 4 and also features Natalie Portman.

Entertainment Weekly recently cleared up the rumor that Rachel McAdams would be starring as Black Cat  in “Spidey 4.” Sony has yet to even confirm that Black Cat will be one of the villains in the movie.
