Tom Hardy’s new FX series ‘Taboo’ makes shipping look very dangerous indeed

We've got our first trailer for the upcoming FX/BBC series Taboo, starring Tom Hardy as a long-thought-dead man who returns to London just in time to inherit his father's shipping company in the early 1800s.

That appears to put him in some danger, as one man cries that “this legacy is your death sentence” while Hardy's James Delaney threatens East India Company bigwigs.

The series is based on a short story written by Hardy and his father, Chips. Interesting.

The eight-part series will air on FX sometime this year, and along with Hardy stars Jonathan Pryce and Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones) and Michael Kelly (House of Cards).
