‘Transparent’: Emmy-winning series gets picked up for fourth season

The third season of Transparent isn”t even out yet, but it”s already assured that The Pfeffermans have a bright future ahead of them.

Amazon announced that its Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning show, about a family whose patriarch (Jeffrey Tambor) comes out as transgender, has been picked up for a fourth season.

In a statement, show creator Jill Soloway said, “The Pfeffermans have many more stories to tell and we can”t wait to keep making them.”

The series, which is inspired by Soloway”s own father, who came out as transgender, features Tambor, Judith Light and Jay Duplass. The third season of Transparent kicks off on Prime Video later this year. The fourth season will be released via the streaming site in 2017.
