TV Ratings: CBS wins Friday, but ‘Dollhouse’ rises

Fast National ratings for Friday, March 13, 2009.

Friday the 13th turned out to be anything but unlucky for CBS, but also for FOX’s “Dollhouse,” which delivered its most-watched episode since its premiere.

CBS won the night in the key 18-49 demographic with a 2.2 rating. ABC’s 1.6 rating. the 1.5 rating for NBC and FOX’s 1.4 rating all followed closely. The CW was fifth with a 0.7 rating.

Overall, CBS averaged an estimated 10.2 million viewers to go with a 6.4 rating/11 share. ABC’s 3.5/6 was a distant second, beating the 3.0/5 for NBC and FOX’s 2.5/4. The CW was fifth with a 1.2/2.

“Ghost Whisperer” got CBS’ Friday night sweep going with a 6.9/12 in the 8 p.m. hour. ABC was a distant third with the 3.0/5 for “Wife Swap.” NBC’s “Howie Do It” was third, beating the 2.2/4 for “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” The CW finished fifth with a 1.3/2 for episodes of “Everybody Hates Chris” and “The Game.”

At 9 p.m. CBS’ “Flashpoint” did a 5.9/10 to win the hour. ABC’s “Supernanny” finished second, beating the 2.7/5 for “Friday Night Lights.” FOX’s “Dollhouse” had a 2.6/4, with an average viewership of 4.33 million, halting several weeks of declines. The CW’s “America’s Next Top Model” repeat was fifth.

“Numb3rs” closed the night strong for CBS with a 6.4/11. ABC’s “20/20” had a 4.4/8 for second, beating “Dateline NBC.”
