Fast National ratings for Monday, June 1, 2009.

The Monday night premiere of NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here” wasn’t exactly record-breaking, but the obnoxious reality series, soon to air four nights-per-week for a month, did manage to improve its 18-49 ratings at every half-hour, helping NBC to co-win the night in the key demo.

Among adults 18-49, NBC and CBS both averaged a 2.5 rating, followed closely by ABC’s 2.1 rating and the 1.7 rating for FOX. The CW’s 0.3 rating didn’t really factor in.

Overall, though, CBS averaged an estimated 8.12 million viewers to go with a 5.2 rating/9 share. NBC was second with a 4.3/7, followed closely by the 4.1/7 for ABC and the 4.0/7 for FOX. The CW, again, was last with a 0.7/1.

In the 8 p.m. hour, ABC was first with a 4.3/8 for “The Bachelorette.” CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory” and “How I Met Your Mother” averaged a 4.0/7 to tie with “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here” for second.” FOX’s “House” was a close fourth, well ahead of the 0.8/1 for The CW’s “Gossip Girl.”

CBS moved into first for the 9 p.m. hour with a 5.8/9 for “Two and a Half Men” and “Rules of Engagement.” ABC’s “The Bachelorette” had a 4.6/7 for second, beating the 4.1/7 for FOX’s “Bones” and the 4.0/6 for NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity…” Note that I’m a celebrity improved from a 2.3 demo rating to a 2.8 rating in its second hour and added some viewers, suggesting that Spencer Pratt’s hijinks didn’t prompt a massive exodus. Anyway, The CW’s “One Tree Hill” was last.

A repeat of “CSI: Miami” won the 10 p.m. hour, beating the 5.0/9 for NBC’s “Medium” finale and the 3.4/6 for “Here Come the Newlyweds” on ABC.
