A double-dose of “Numb3rs” helped CBS easily win on Friday night.
In the key 18-49 demographic, CBS averaged a 2.2 rating, just ahead of the 2.0 rating for ABC. FOX had a 1.3 rating for third and NBC's 1.1 rating was fourth. The CW was fifth with a 0.5 rating.
CBS won even more easily over, averaging nearly 9.3 million viewers and a 6.0 rating/10 share. ABC was second with a 3.7/6, followed by FOX's 3.3/6 and the 2.7/5 for NBC. The CW's 1.2/2 trailed.
In the night's first hour, CBS got a 6.2/11 for “Ghost Whisperer,” while FOX was second with “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader.” The first hour of ABC's “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” had a 3.2/6, bettering the 2.9/5 for a “Greatest Holiday Moments” special on NBC. The CW's “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” was fifth with a 1.3/2.
A repeat of “Numb3rs” was first in the 9 p.m. hour, giving CBS a 5.5/9. ABC's move moved up to second, while FOX's “Don't Forget the Lyrics” took third with a 3.2/5. NBC's “Lipstick Jungle” ad a 2.5/4 and at least beat “The Story of Santa Claus” on The CW.
A new “Numbers3” had no problems winning 10 p.m. for CBS with a 6.3/11. ABC's “20/20” took second with a 4.3/8 and beat “Dateline NBC.”
