Watch: Chris Pine on ‘Star Trek 2’: ‘It’s like camp that you get paid for’

Not only does Chris Pine get paid millions of dollars to star in movies, he also claims to enjoy the process of actually making them. Look, no one ever said life was fair.

“This is no hyperbole – I love everyone that I get to make that film with,” Pine told HitFix reporter Geoff Berkshire about filming the untitled “Star Trek” sequel, which completed principal photography just last month. “It’s like camp that you get paid for. You can’t ask for a better gig.”

You hear that, office-dwellers who are toiling in dead-end jobs that you hate? Chris Pine gets paid tons of dough to do what he loves. Ouch!

Above you can check out the rest of the video (filmed at the recent junket for “People Like Us,” which hits theaters this Friday), in which Pine also talks about what sets “Star Trek” director J.J. Abrams and writers Damon Lindelof, Roberto (Bob) Orci and Alex Kurtzman apart from their blockbuster contemporaries.

The untitled 3-D “Star Trek” sequel is slated for release on May 17, 2013.
