Hide the kids, everybody – Jason Bateman is coming, and he enjoys making children cry.
The “Arrested Development” star takes no prisoners in the filthy new red-band trailer for “Bad Words,” which centers on a foul-mouthed, 40-year-old middle-school dropout who exploits a technicality in order to enter the National Quill Spelling Bee. Also starring Kathryn Hahn, Rohan Chand, Allison Janney and Phillip Baker Hall, the dark comedy is Bateman’s feature directorial debut.
