Watch: Jason Segel and Emily Blunt flirt in ‘The Five Year Engagement’ clips

Jason Segel re-teams with his “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” director Nicholas Stoller and producer Judd Apatow (“Freaks and Geeks,” “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”) for the irreverent romantic comedy “The Five Year Engagement,” co-starring Emily Blunt.

These new clips give you an idea of the film’s goofy laughs and sentimental romance, in which engaged couple Tom (Segel) and Violet (Blunt) discover that setting a date — and sticking to it — is harder than it seems once Violet is offered an out-of-state job.

In the first clip (above), Tom and Violet frolic in Michigan snowbanks until nature (of the human-made variety) puts an end to their wintery bliss.

Nothing’s funnier than clashing religious wedding traditions, as seen in the below clip, where the great David Paymer plays Tom’s dad and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver (“Animal Kingdom”) Violet’s mom.

Before you see him as The Lizard in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” you can catch Rhys Ifans as the owner of an adorable pooch with an impossible-to-pronounce Welsh name (mockingly referred to as “Gwyneth”). You can spot Mindy Kaling (“The Office”) in this scene as well:

Tom and his wedding-planning buddies (comics Brian Posehn and Chris Parnell) taste some cakes and shop for some dirty-sounding flowers. Oh, you boys!

Alex (“Parks and Recreation” star Chris Pratt) awkwardly hits on a girl (“Community’s” Alison Brie) at a swank outdoor party. Looks like wedding bells aren’t in their future, but there’s a chance Pratt could steal this whole movie.

The film opens nationwide May 27.
