After the recent success of “Toy Story 3,” Pixar will attempt to strike box office gold yet again with this summer’s “Cars 2,” the sequel to the 2006 blockbuster. Take a look at the trailer above, in which Lightning McQueen and Mater stumble into international espionage while traveling the globe.
The film is directed by John Lasseter and co-directed by Brad Lewis. Voice actors Owen Wilson (as “Lightning McQueen”) and Larry the Cable Guy (“Mater”) return, in addition to newcomers Michael Caine and Emily Mortimer.
“Cars 2” opens nationwide in 3D on June 24, 2011.
