While “Valentine’s Day,” “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief” and “The Wolfman” are getting much of moviegoers attention this upcoming holiday weekend, there is one intriguing drama opening in limited release, “Blood Done Sign My Name.”

Directed by longtime Hollywood screenwriter Jeb Stuart (“Die Hard”), the period piece is an adaptation of Timonthy Tyson’s novel about the murder of an African-American Vietnam vet who was killed by a white businessman in the 1970s and the powerful events that followed.  A passion project of Stuart’s, the film stars Nate Parker (“The Great Debaters”) and Ricky Schroder among others.
