Watch: Milla Jovovich says she isn’t really a bad girl in ‘Three Musketeers’

HitFix’s Gregory Ellwood recently sat down with “Three Musketeers” star Milla Jovovich to talk about the upcoming big-screen reinterpretation of the classic novel, in which the actress plays the villainous, two-faced “Milady de Winter”. During their chat the spirited Jovovich rose up to defend the 17th century bad girl, who she described as a “modern woman” stuck in the 17th century. She also spoke of her decision to have the character do battle in a variety of fabulous “30 pound” gowns (complete with corsets!), which she admitted may not have been the best idea in hindsight.

The next installment of the “Resident Evil” franchise was also broached, with Jovovich giving props to her director (and husband) Paul W.S. Anderson (who also helmed “Musketeers”) for putting together an “amazing” action sequence involving a Rolls Royce. The two are currently shooting the film, subtitled “Retribution”, in Toronto.
