Earlier today, Robert Downey Jr. released is character poster for “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” via his Twitter account. Along with the image of Tony Stark surrounded by destruction and minions of Ultron, Downey left a cryptic message.

Eight days from now would be March 6. What big announcement could RDJ and Marvel want to announce on a Friday? There are so many options. Here are nine of them, from most to least likely.*
*Alternatively titled: from most to least boring!
#1: Robert Downy Jr. and Marvel have worked out his contract.
As of right now, RDJ is signed on through “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Captain America: Civil War.” The announcement could be that Downey is now on board for either “Iron Man 4” or just extended his options to appear in other Marvel movies such as “Infinity War.”
#2: “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is dropping a new trailer.
With the May 1 release date looming, we”re getting down to crunch time for the Ultron marketing campaign. If Marvel wants to put out another trailer, now is as good of a time as any.
#3: Iron Man to make a cameo appearance on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
Marvel”s ABC drama returns on March 3. Perhaps whatever happens with Skye”s burgeoning abilities as Quake will draw the attention of Stark Industries.
#4: Casting announcement for “Captain Marvel.”
Fans have theorized that Captain Marvel could appear in the “Age of Ultron” stinger (though that theory has mostly been supplanted by Spider-Man), so why not announce who has been chosen to play Marvel”s first big screen female lead?
#5: “Agent Carter” has been renewed for a second season.
Despite the fact ABC hasn”t announced ANY of their renewal/cancelation decisions yet, perhaps Marvel will break rank with their parent company and give Peggy Carter fans the good news.
#6: Concept art for “Avengers: Civil War” revealed.
Just a giant poster of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers about to come to blows while Spider-Man makes sarcastic quips in the background.
#7: Fox admits defeat, cedes the Fantastic Four back to Marvel.
Not only is Spider-Man going to appear in future Marvel movies, but whatever fustercluck is going on with the “Fantastic Four” will also be fixed in-house as the reboot is baked into the MCU.
#8 – Robert Downey Jr. is actually Tony Stark.
Marvel admits to genetically engineering their superheroes and seeding them into the general population as infants decades ago, with the intent to “discover” their alter-egos. The Avengers are real, nothing it is CGI, we are all in grave danger from an intergalactic evil.
#9 – All of #8 plus the Avengers are announcing Llama Initiative.
In light of recent events, llamas will be given top level access to assuage public fears.
