This ‘Rogue One’ as ‘Friends’ trailer makes no sense but works really well

We've had a few trailers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and we're getting to that point where fans are starting to do fun things with them. For your consideration, two such fan works – Rogue One as Friends and Rogue One as a Beastie Boys music video.

CineMash's Bobby Burns put together a version of the Rogue One trailer to the Friends theme song by The Rembrandts, complete with title card and credits. The concept didn't really make sense to me (I know stuff has been put to Friends before) but it still kinda works.

There's also this other fan edit by Matthew Longua. I'm of the mind that Beastie Boys “Sabotage” is way overused in everything but I guess there's a reason for that. Give it a watch.

I'm still waiting for a fan (or, you know, Disney/Lucasfilm) to make a trailer that explains to more casual fans where this film falls in the scope of the movie series. Donna Dickens and I discussed that here in case you missed it. Someone get to work on that, please!
