Why this entertainment reporter is being forced off Twitter

We are living in a virtual world, and I am a virtual girl. But I may not be able to be for much longer.

More and more, we're hearing of people leaving social media sites like Twitter, Instagram, and Vine due to bullying, negative, comments, and in the most extreme cases, stalking.

Anne Wheaton just wrote a great piece about exiting Twitter due to the lack of protections against those who would use it to spit their venom.

A recent court case, Guthrie vs. Elliott exemplifies just how flawed this system is. How easy it is for the stalkers and difficult for those they threaten.

On this Girls on Film segment, Alicia Malone, Roth Cornet, and Miri Jedeikin bring you their personal experience of being harassed online, and talk about what is — and what is not — being done about it.

Also, please do check out Alicia's amazing social media sober series here. It's incredibly thought-provoking, realatable, and inspiring.
