In news that surprises nobody, Amy Winehouse has canceled an upcoming concert in the U.K., which would have been her first performance in her home country this year. Reps told E! Online that she was also hospitalized for chest pains.

“Amy Winehouse’s management has regretfully announced that Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire,” a spokesperson said. The event was to celebrate 50 years of her label Island’s history.

This comes on the heels of another concert snafu, when recently in St. Lucia, the Grammy-winning singer canceled her concert minutes into the performance, amid booing and complaints from the crowd of her trainwrecked state. Handlers blamed the show’s termination on bad weather.

“The set started well, but as the heavens opened, a number technical difficulties occurred on stage, culminating with the lighting rig failing for two songs. In addition, rain began to flood the technical wings at the side of the stage which caused sound problems. Amy and the band tried to soldier on but the set had to be cut short,” said a post on her MySpace blog.

In the very same blog, Winehouse also reported that she is being followed by camera crews for a documentary, “Saving Amy,” headed by interviewer Daphne Barak. That post has since been removed

Winehouse has been plagued with drug and alcohol abuse particularly since the release of her incredible 2007 set “Back to Black.”
