‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ actor Omar Sy joins ‘Jurassic World’

“Jurassic World” has added another actor to its growing menu.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” actor Omar Sy has officially joined the belated sequel, which will also star Chris Pratt, Jake Johnson, Vincent D'Onofrio, BD Wong and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The French actor tweeted the news himself, saying “Fan of this saga from the beginning, I”m very proud to be part of the cast for JURASSIC WORLD.” A second tweet repeated the news en français.

Director Colin Trevorrow confirmed the news (also in French) on his Twitter

After making a name for himself on French television and a small role in “Mic Macs,” Sy's breakthrough film role came in 2011's “The Intouchables,” for which he received the César Award for Best Actor.

The plotline for “Jurassic World” is being kept under wraps, other than the fact that it will take place twenty years after Steven Spielberg's 1993 original blockbuster. Likewise, there's no word on who Sy will be playing in the film.

The actor is playing Bishop in “Days of Future Past,” opposite fellow mutant stars Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbenbender, Ian McKellen, Ellen Page and Halle Berry.

“Jurassic World” is set to roar into theaters June 12, 2015.
