Sharon Simmons, a 55-year-old grandmother of two, aspires to be a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys. And from there, who knows? Jerry Jones could take her up in his plane and make her the next Susan Skaggs. Cheap shots at all parties aside, the older woman as NFL cheerleader phenomenon isn’t an uncommon one in recent years. Raiders cheerleader Susie Sanchez is also a grandmother. The Bengals have a 43-year-old mother of two “Ben-Gal” (ugh) whose story has been optioned into a movie.
So it’s not that all that unlikely that she could make the squad. Sharon certainly possesses the athleticism, having won nine fitness competitions in the last six years. What she lacks in self-awareness, she has in confidence:
Simmons was asked if she believes that there is a physical difference between her body and those of the 19-year-olds trying out? “Absolutely no difference,” she declared.
Adorable. Laughably wrong, but adorable.
While the top image isn’t doing her any favors, I’ll include a more flattering one to show that she has a capability of being quite the attractive GILF when she wants to be.
