Packers Shock The Texans

Capable Green Bay offense of old out of nowhere. For the exception of an inexcusable James Jones drop on an early drive, the Packers potent passing attack that has been just slightly out of sync for the most part so far this season has been clicking tonight. Jordy Nelson in particular has been lighting it up, with 82 yards receiving and two touchdowns in the first half.

The J.J. Watt/Clay Matthews meathead media circlejerk has been in full effect, as anticipated. Watt regained the NFL sack lead that he lost on a stat adjustment mid-week with a takedown of Rodgers, followed by a riff on his championship belt celebration.

Even without B.J. Raji, the Packers have limited Arian Foster to near-Chris Johnson levels of pitiable stats. Foster finished the half with only 22 yards on 13 carries, though he does have Houston’s lone touchdown. Both of the unbeatens are being tested here in Week 6. The Falcons were able to outlast Oakland despite its own first half blunders. The Texans have some swatting and whatnot to do in order to make this a game again, especially with the Packers getting the ball first in the second half.
