Remember it well, this week of August 25-31, 2013. For it marked the beginning and the end of the glorious Matt Leinart era in Buffalo. On Sunday, the Bills emerged triumphant in their pitched battle with the Jets to claim Leinart’s epic bro talents. After doing so, the next day the Bills expressed their intention to start undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel in their Week 1 game against the Patriots, possibly because Peter King gave Leinart the kiss of death by wishing him well in MMQB. Leinart suited up in a Bills uniform for the only time on Thursday evening, when he played in the team’s preseason finale against the Lions, completing three of 10 passes for 11 yards and two interceptions and a 0.0 passer rating. On Friday morning, Leinart was released by the team. It may have only been a week, but this is a lifetime of memories, folks.
