There’s a Kid Rock cutout/funnel in the lots outside FedEx Field this morning, which means Dad Boner must have made the trip out to Raljon, MD to see the Lions take on the Redskins. Feel like he could drink a thousand beers today, you guys.
Here’s the requisite mention that the Lions haven’t won on the road against the Redskins since 1935, back when the ‘Skins were based in Boston. Detroit is favored and Washington is a mess on both sides of the ball, so now seems like a great week to bury this oft-cited factoid forever. Reggie Bush won’t play, so Joique Bell is a good play for the fantasy crowd.
Elsewhere, Ed Reed makes his return to Baltimore, but is a game-time decision ton play. Bernard Pierce will start in place of the fantasy football disenchanted Ray Rice.
It’s a Brian Hoyer-Christian Ponder shootout in Minnesota. That would be the most depressing thing I could say about this game, but then the Browns had to sign Willis McGahee this week. Hope you snagged the Vikings defense on waivers.
Good buddies/asshole coaches Greg Schiano and Bill Belichick meet in Foxboro for what surely will be yet another fascinating display of Tom Brady yelling at his receivers and Schiano berating everyone else. If recent history is any indication, Belichick will use this as an opportunity to scout Buccaneers players that Schiano will in turn dutifully trade to the Patriots for a song.
