It’s been a bad day for the Houston Texans. Matt Schaub, coming off a really rough week, found himself so ineffectual he was relegated to just clinging on to defenders as T.J. Yates took over and promptly threw a pair of interceptions in a blowout loss to the Rams.
But maybe there’s a quarterback solution for the Texans out there.
The Longhorn legend and former NFL QB – most recently cut from the Green Bay practice squad – was watching the game from home and the Houston native was pretty transparent in his declaration of ability to the Texans. Besides retweeting followers who were calling for the team to contact Young, the QB tweeted his own desire, complete with third-person wording, which shows he’s totally serious.
Let them know VY is in shape and ready to go! I always loved my birth place and everyone who lives in it IM READY
