Nothing like putting off heart value surgery until after the season is over, especially when you have a relatively stress-free job like being the head coach of an NFL football team.
That’s exactly what Denver Broncos head coach John Fox intended to do, until a game of bye week golf in North Carolina resulted in a dizzy spell that landed him in the hospital. Fox will undergo surgery early in the week and is expected to miss several weeks according to team spokesman Patrick Smyth. Defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio is expected to fill in during Fox’s absence.
Players were quick to take to Twitter and offer their support, but superstar quarterback Peyton Manning went the extra mile by offering Fox 30% off his next order of heart healthy pizza at any of Manning’s Denver-area Papa John’s franchises.
