It’s been a tumultuous year for the Guinness world record for crowd noise.
Back in September, Seahawks fans broke a two-year-old record set by Turkish soccer fans with a crowd roar of 136.6 decibels. That record didn’t stand long. It lasted about a month until Chiefs fans at Arrowhead set a new mark of 137.57 decibels.
And now, because the Chiefs are no longer allowed to have nice things, the Seahawks have reclaimed the throne of cacophony, just edging the Chiefs’ month and a half old mark with a crowd roar a few hundredths of a decibel louder.
