Either way, the Browns made a bunch of trades in the first round, looked smart at first, then looked really dumb then looked smart by accident again when Manziel fell to 22 and Cleveland was able to trade up and get the successor to the legend that is Brandon Weeden. So now the Browns may not be great, but people will at least be excited about them. And that’s about as much as they can reasonably ask for.
It being the Browns, however, even in a moment of triumph, they still looked silly by calling it the “22th” pick.
