It’s the off-season doldrums of July and that means it’s time for an art lesson! Today we will learn how to draw the big tomato, Andy Reid, coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.
To start off, no one should draw on an empty stomach. So grab a healthy snack! I don’t have anything particularly healthy in my fridge, so I’ll eat this KFC Double Down.
Now that we are full of fuel, lets get to work. Wipe the grease off your fingers, because we need to type! No one should go straight into drawing without some quality reference photos to work from. Reference photos help give you some grounded things to work from and to inspire you. I’ve gathered together some reference photos I’ll need here:
That should do it. Now first thing you want to do is do a very rough shape sketch to get the general outline of our masterpiece.
Once you have the outline, pop some delicious cheetos into your mouth and lets add some detail!
Hmm. Something is missing. Let me think here. What could make this better?
I mean yes, but it’s not enough. Lets add a tiny Jamaal Charles!
Now that those are down, Lets do the final linework.
Oh god I can’t think straight I’m so hungry I guess do the color or whatever give me my taco bell goddamnit give me all the taco bell Doritos Locos Tacos oh my god
ADD SHADING AND A BACKGROUND SO WE CAN BE DONE WITH THIS CRAP AND LETS GO TO THE BUFFET
And that’s how you
eat like I mean draw Andy Reid.
