Serial gator ownerand Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnett Dockett was carted off the field this afternoon after going down during practice and the team confirmed tonight he’ll be out for the season to repair a torn ACL. Bad news for a team already without Daryl Washington for the season due to a weed suspension and still no word on when Tyrann Mathieu will return to the team, although the Cards are rumored to be activating him as early as tomorrow. While the NFC West is a tough ticket for any squad to handle, Bruce Arians (turn around three times and spit Steeler fans) managed to drag the generally disappointing Cards to 10-6 in 2013 with a surprising solid season and Dockett’s reliability on defense leaves a big hole in the team.
As of now, the usually loquacious Dockett has so far not commented on Twitter, his social media drug of choice, but I imagine he’ll have lots of time for updates now that his year is done.
Yep. Lots of free time.
