As to be expected in a state that only recently allowed for beer and wine sales in select grocery stores instead of heavily regulated distributors and hard booze still sold in state-run stores best described as Glasnost-era Soviet, Pittsburgh Steelers Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were arrested today in suburban Ross Township by a motorcycle cop who smelled marijuana coming from the Camero they were driving. According to KDKA’s Bill Rehkopf, Bell was also given a blood test at UPMC’s Passavant Hospital. In a legal sense, the duo should be in good shape because they were found only to have 20 grams of weed in the car, a misdemeanor in the state of Pennsylvania. From the standpoint of football though, the Steelers could be seriously effed by Lord Rog and the agreed to by the NFLPA league drug policy.
Honestly though, why were either one of them driving? This is Pittsburgh and they’re Pittsburgh Steelers. Fans would line up to drive either one of them home and gladly pay for the privilege. Wait, they were arrested in a Camero?
Maybe they did have a driver lined up.
